Euros Team Kit

Team Manager

We need someone to help co-ordinate activities between Team GBR, coaches and the Hosts etc, acting as a point of contact and gathering useful information. Would suit a non participating parent.

COACHING

Peter Aitken will be there to offer Pre-Event coaching, plus coach support during the event to the 12 junior boats selected from the Euros Grants Indicators. (Nationals and Northerns).

Peter will be coaching on Wed 28 to Fri 30 July.

Congratulations, Rob Struckett, Juliet Long, Anna Mackenzie, Josh Rumbol, George Yeoman, Eloise Hansen, Tom Robinson, James Budd, William Kalderon, Silvania Booth, Kate MacGregor and Emma Houlihan. On the basis of their performance throughout the recent indicator series they have been selected to receive event support from the RYA Mirror National Coach and an RYA International travel grant to assist with the costs of competing in the European Championships in Ireland 2004.

For those sailors not in Peter's group, the MCA are sending Matt McGovern to support up to 15 boats on a self funding basis. Costs will be £1500 or more, so we are asking sailors to pay £100 per boat for three days Pre-Euros familiarisation coaching, 28-30 July, plus support during measurement and for the championship. Sailors that are trying for grants can still sign up and we will refund the £100 for those that are successful. We need at least 10 boats to go ahead, so please email jangg@btinternet.com to get your name on the list.

Entries for Matt McGovern Coach Support as at 13 March. Because several sailors on this list will certainly get grants, we will keep accepting names and then take the first 15 in the list once the grant winners are removed. First come, first served, so get your names on the list ASAP.
