Brief Race Report
The whole event was characterised by very light winds. Simon Hoult OOD on Sunday managed to fit in 3 races without too much difficulty, but on Monday Mark Walker had to call the fleet ashore after the first race(Race 4) because the reservoir had become calm. He was about to abandon the last race when a little breeze wafted up and he quickly got the fleet to the start line and Race 5 was held and a nicely judged shorten course allowed most of the fleet to finish before the wind completely died. Travelling instructions to Bartley S.C.
Exit M5 at juncton 3 take the A456 towards Kidderminster, leave dual carriageway at first left exit, (narrow lane) at top of hill turn left over the motoway, straight on to T junction turn right, at roundabout take 2nd exit, continue to traffic calming bollards, within 50yds take left turn contine on this road for just over a mile, look for high rise flats on right continue for about 150 yds Bartley S.C. is sign posted on the right.
From Bartley S.C. to Romsley caravan site
Exit the club to the left, straight ahead to T junction approx 1 ml turn right, go to roundabout straight on to left turn approx 30yds, go to T junction turn right, go to the end of road to A456 dual carriage turn left, proceed to roundabout turn left on B4551 to Romsley, look out for Sun Hotel on right approx 11/4 miles, turn right past the Sun, take the 5th left after the Sun junction and next left site 330 yds on left.
From Bartley S.C. to Travel Inn Wychbury
Exit the club to the left, straight ahead to T junction approx 1 ml turn right, go to roundabout straight on to left turn approx 30yds, go to T junction turn right, go to the end of road to A456 dual carriage turn left, contiue towards Kidderminster to 4th roundabout then double back on carriageway towards Birmingham to Travel Inn 600yds on left
Return From Travel Inn to Bartley S.C.Leave Travel Inn to the left on A456 to Birmingham, just before second set of traffic lights leave A456 on slip road to left, within 300 yds past Audi garage turn right then first left, go to T junction turn right, at roundabout take second exit, continue to traffic calming bollards and in 50yds turn left, got to high rise flats right approx 1 ml, 150 yds past flats look for Bartley S.C. on right signposted.
Return from Romsley caravan site to Bartley S.C.
Follow route from site to Sun Hotel turn left on B4551 to Halesowen at round about turn right onto A456 to Birmingham, just before traffic lights leave A456 on slip road to left, within 300 yds past Audi garage turn right then first left, go to T junction turn right, at roundabout take second exit, continue to traffic calming bollards and in 50yds turn left, got to high rise flats right approx 1 ml, 150 yds past flats look for Bartley S.C. on right signposted.
