- Disclaimer of Liability
A boat is entirely responsible for her own safety, whether afloat or
ashore, and nothing, whether in the Notice of Race or Sailing Instructions
or anywhere else, reduces this responsibility. It is for the boat to
decide whether she is fit to sail in the conditions in which she will
find herself. By launching or going afloat, the boat confirms that she
is fit for those conditions and that her crew is competent to sail and
compete in them. The boat is required to hold adequate insurance and
in particular to hold insurance against third party claims in the sum
of at least £2,000,000. Nothing done by the organizers can reduce the
responsibility of the boat, nor will it make the organizers responsible
for any loss, damage, death or personal injury, however it may have
occurred, as a result of the boat taking part in the racing. The organizers
encompass everyone helping to run the race and the event, and include
the organising authority, the race committee, the race officer, patrol
boats and beachmasters. The provision of patrol boats does not relieve
the boat of her responsibilities.
- Safety
All competitors whilst afloat must wear adequate personal buoyancy.
This amends Rule 40.
- Notices to Competitors
Notices to competitors will be posted on the official notice board,
at the top of the stairs.
- Changes to Sailing Instructions
Any changes to the SI will be posted at least 30 mins before the start
of a race it will affect, except that any change in the schedule of
races will be posted by 20.00 hours on the day before it will take effect.
- Signals made Ashore
12.1. Signals made ashore will be displayed on the flagstaff at on top
of the Clubhouse.
12.2. When Flag AP
is displayed ashore, the warning signal will be made not less than 20
minutes after removal unless at that time the race is postponed again
or abandoned. This amends the flag signal definitions.
- Declarations
Competitors will be required to sign a declaration stating whether or
not they have completed the races according the the RRS, and indicate
where 720' have been completed within 30 mins of the last boat finishing
it's race. (If back to back races - 30 mins of the last boat finishing
the 2nd of the two races)
- Protests
14.1. Protests shall be written on forms available from registration
desk.

involved. They should be taken to Race Officer.
