Parent/guardian responsibilities: During the event, the parents or guardians of sailors under 18 are expected to remain at Poole Yacht Club, as the event organizers are NOT responsible for care of the sailor should she/he come ashore, for any reason, earlier than may have been expected. The medical information and consent is needed so that the event organizers can take appropriate care of sailors whilst afloat and in any serious emergency arising whist afloat.
