What do you want in a sailing venue? Great beach, fantastic weather, a friendly club, good wind and lots of boats?!
Highcliffe SC certainly provided the first three on Saturday 6th July with a glorious sunny day in a fantastic setting with launching from the beach at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour.
The wind was forecast to be light and unfortunately other diary clashes limited the entry numbers, however those who attended had a great day's sailing. Nigel Thomas and Felix Jeffries, Jo Kalderon and Imogen Bellfield, and Eleanor Bellfield sailing on her own, had a close battle and were equal on points after 2 races, with Eleanor breaking through in the last race to win overall.
James and Charlie Goode from Chipstead are great supporters of the Southern circuit and gained a well earned 4th place which will place them high up the Traveller circuit rankings and it was good to see Charmaine Barnett and Mark Sharman on the water representing the home club.
