The Chichester open on Saturday 15th of October had a very good turnout of 15 boats and a variety of 7 clubs. With very tricky, shifty conditions the boats sailed a tactical race. The first race gold medal was taken swiftly away by Grace Yeoman and Izzy Barker, however on race 2 the number one spot was Isabel Davies and Jonnie law.

Hurricane force winds failed to materialise as 12 Mirrors arrived at Warsash, although a brisk breeze would still be tricky for some of the less experienced. Visitors from Itchenor and Poole swelled the ranks of the rejuvenated Warsash Mirrors - most in their first season in the Mirror.

Which is the premier regatta on the River Hamble? Not the Warsash Sring Series, or the Hamble Winter Series - it is clearly the Burseldon Regatta held this year over the weekend of 3 / 4 September. It is probably the most challenging sailing to be found on the river - particularly when you find yourself hemmed in between trots of very expensive yachts and the mudbanks.
