Total hull area? 11 Sep 2007 09:32 #15606

One litre of top coat is sufficient to give you 2 coats, it did on mine and I also painted the cockpit floor and stowage lockers.

If anyone is going to use International two-pack polyurethane then read this article for lots of excellent tips to get the best finish.

Way too late to answer the original question - but I wanted to establish the area myself - an epoxy coating process is about to begin on my rennovation project.

Based on some measurements I took last night my estimate is 5.8 metres squared. (Give or take about plus or minus 10% I reckon). This being for all the exterior hull surfaces including the transoms.

Hope that might help somebody in the future!

Does anyone know the total area in square feet (or sqauer meters) of the Mirror dinghy hull (including fore and aft transoms)?
I am trying to find out the size of the paintable surface.
