TOPIC: Damaged Centreboard

Damaged Centreboard 09 Jul 2011 17:43 #21064

Hello. I am currenlty re-varnishing the Centreboard on my mirror dinghy and the bottom edge has been damaged. There is a small hole along the bottom edge where the wood has been chipped away. WHat is the best way to fix this?

Cheers.

Hi.
Clean back to good wood and bring back to shape with epoxy resin thickened with microballons. The colour match won't be good but by the time you've rubbed it back and polished it you are left with a solid hard edge.
