Hi Pete

Just wondering if you knew of anyone local who does buoyancy tests, I need to renew mine and with Martin Egan now in cornwall theres no one in the club who can do it officialy.

Chris - The "official" method is in the Yearbook and it allows for an official of your club to conduct it and sign of the certificate. In practice just fit a hose in the bung and blow air in to normal lung pressure; put your thumb over the hose end and wait 30 seconds. If there is a whoosh of air from the hose then your bound to be OK and you get signed off. Otherwise you can try Lucy's suggestion of going to Capt. Charles Currey at Bosham (details in the Yearbook) and he'll probably do the same thing for a fiver. Talk to his daughter Mimi about it first. Hope this helps. John (Ned's Dad)

Hi Pete!
Happy New Year to you too!<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

Martin Egan came and stayed with us over Christmas and tested the tanks for me. In fact, the boat failed!! The tanks held over all but there are leaks between both sides and the aft tank. We're working on it right now!!

See you at the BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle> in February!!

Chris
