Peter at Warsash you told me that I needed a new mainsheet and you mentioned about the water proof rope but I can't remember what it was called. Can you please tell me so I can go and buy some

Log onto www.roostersailing.com and order some of Steves Rooster Rope. It is low stretch, and as long as it is well maintained, and kept untwisted, it should never twist, making sheeting easier. I have had it for a year and have had very few twists when sailing, and i think it is one of the best around.

Thank you Theo but im sure Peter mentioned about this new water proof rope that does not absorb water, keeping it light. mainly used for mainsheets and spinnaker sheets

Hi Tom,
I find 6mm Marlow braid perfectly fine and it's well cheap. It does the job really well.
