After a lot of discussion on Mirrors v Fevas at our recent AGM, Bassenthwaite SC has decided to adopt Mirrors for double handed training. Many thanks to Dave Woodhead & others for the supporting info which was used to good effect. BUT (there's always a "but"!)the budget dictates that they be second hand and the rigors of training that they be GRP. So, if you know of anything, anywhere that might fit the bill, either now, or in the near future will you please, please get in touch (the Fevas could still win the day if I don't come up with something fairly soon and we can't have that, can we?). My email is always on:
or Tel 016973-45082. Sincerely, Mik.
Hope you've had an enjoyable Christmas Mik and all the best for the New Year.
Glad your powers of conversion worked and the Mirror has been adopted by your training people as a very versatile robust boat. I shall keep my eyes open for good plastic boats, of course my old wooden boats always for sail, just needs a coat of varnish.
Thanks Bob. Seasonal greatings to you, your family. Also to all my friends at Beaver and withing the MCA. Yes if you, or anyone else, hear of any GRP Mirrors on the market do drop me an email and I will follow it up. Once we reach the "tipping point" of sufficient Mirrors on the water (both training and racing), we at Bass feel that our Mirror fleet will take off and eventually give the Club representation in regional and national events.
