The Mirror Class Association run two squads over the winter months one based in the North and one based in the South. These squads are aimed at sailors under 18 who want to improve their racing. The majority of the sailors are aged between 11 and 14, but a few join the squads as young as 8 years old, often as a crew then move onto helming. These squads are held over six weekend at a variety of different venues, which gives the sailors the opportunity to experience different conditions.
The squad qualifying events are held in September/October time, if you would like any further information about joining a winter squad next winter please visit the website.
 
Team Racing
Well done to all the Mirror sailors who participated in the Eric Twiname Team Racing event at Oxford SC. For many of the Mirror sailors it was the first time they had tried Team Racing, it tested
their rules knowledge to the limit, and their tactics improved immensely throughout the weekend,
great fun was had by everyone. 
 Dinghy Show 2014                                 
The RYA and Mirror Class are busy planning another great Dinghy Show. Held at the magnificent Alexandra Palace in London over the weekend of 01-02 March 2014, the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show, has something for all; young or old, novice or pro, cruiser or racer; it’s simply paradise for all dinghy sailors! It is the only show in the world, dedicated to Dinghy Sailing.

Brixham YC

Please register your interest for the UK Mirror Nationals and Europeans at Brixham YC racing will be from the 13th to 22nd August.
This is so we can ascertain the number of boats and people that are interested in attending the event to help the committee to plan the catering numbers and other facilities more accurately.
