Membership Renewals

 

Yes its that time are year again! your Mirror Class Association (MCA) membership is due for renewal in January. The UK Mirror Class Association (MCA) is largely funded by subscriptions from members we need your support.

 

The benefits of membership are:

    •    That you are eligible to enter for the Nationals, the Nationwide and Travellers events organised by the MCA.

    •    To order to support your Mirror campaigns the MCA organise  Zone Training, National Squad and Open Training that as a member, you can apply for. (All squad sailors are required to be members of the MCA).

    •    It gives you an opportunity to help keep the Mirrors prominence, which you can put into action by voting on class matters at the AGM.

    •    You will receive a monthly electronic newsletter, keeping you at the forefront of what is happening in the Mirror Class.

    •    In the UK, the  Mirror Dinghy measurement certificates are only valid if the owner is a member of the MCA.

 Dinghy Show 2014                                 

1-2 March, Alexander Palace, London.  The Mirror class will again have a stand at the show and plans are moving forwards the class will be displaying a brand new FRP Mirror from Winder Boats.  The show has lots of exiting activities lined up for all the family including expert talks and coaching sessions, hands-on activities such as a trapeze rig, as well as a dedicated area for beginners.

Brixham YC

Please register your interest for the UK Mirror Nationals and Europeans at Brixham YC racing will be from the 13th to 22nd August.
This is so we can ascertain the number of boats and people that are interested in attending the event to help the committee to plan the catering numbers and other facilities more accurately.

2015 Worlds Championships date change 

 

Following lobbing by the UK MCA the dates of the Worlds at Theewater Sports Club, South Africa have been changed to fit better with the UK school holidays.  The pre worlds will be starting on 28th December 2014 and the Worlds Championships will end on the 9th January 2015.
