Having been placed 1st and 2nd in the Northern Travellers at the weekend, Robert Richardson & Sandy Simpson, along with the Shilling family, decided to stay on for the remainder of the Bass Regatta Week resulting in some good racing between the two boats. But it was Wednesday’s pursuit race which caused all to take notice.
Out of eighty eight starters in every type of dinghy imaginable, the two Mirrors took the first two places overall and enabled the Windermere crew to collect a large and elegant trophy. Dave Shilling with Oscar crewing on this occasion, took the second place award.
