A white wooden Mirror dinghy being sailed singlehanded on a lake.

1967 - 1973

Wood hull lovingly built from a kit by Don Elsey . Don's daughter, Jane Kellier, takes up the story "I remember sailing it with him when I was a child but then my parents moved and for various reasons (including Dad getting a larger boat)  the Mirror dinghy wasn’t used much."

This boat was available free to a good home , details were:

I’m now sadly clearing my parent's house ready for sale, and would like to find a good home for the Mirror with someone who would get some use out of it.

  • 1967 Wood hull lovingly built by Don Elsey
  • Stored in a garage for the last 50 years
  • Mast, gaff and boom, but no standing rigging (shrouds & forestay) or running rigging (halyards & sheets etc) or sails.
  • Rudder and daggerboard
  • Oars
  • No trailer or trolley
