6 Mirrors raced in the West Lancashire Yacht Club Mirror Open with 2 boats travelling long distances and 4 from the home club. Despite the original forecast a great day was had by most with long awaited sunny weather.

The first race started just after 11am with light winds, the good course set by the OD had lots of spinnaker legs. A controversial shortened course meant Tom Dean and Dominic Daniel won the race, Ben and Gabe Hill second and George and Sarah Richards third.

In the second race George and Sarah got a great start with a good lead through the whole race giving them a great win, Tom and Dominic second, Ben and Gabe third.

The third race started with almost no wind at the line, Ben and Gabe Hill found the first breaths of wind giving them an early lead. On the final leg George and Sarah caught Ben and Gabe up and over took them, but Ben and Gabe managed to claw it back and won that race with George and Sarah second, Tom and Dominic third.

Overall the top three boats were tied on three points with them all having a first, a second and a third, but overall on count back Ben and Gabe Hill won.
