Southern Travellers 2012

We have regretfully had to cancel the Bosham Mirror Open tomorrow due to forecasted poor weather conditions. Please pass the word on to anyone who was planning on coming.

We are currently working on rescheduling the event, and I will let you know as soon as anything is finalised.

The rain stayed away from Southampton Water for the Diamond Jubilee Mirror Open Meeting to give the Mirrors two cracking days of sailing at Warsash for the latest round of the Southern Travellers series. 

Milly and Nick Pugh had an outstanding set of results to win the Southern Traveller 3 event at ISC - they discarded a first! 

Despite wet, windy and cold weather, 26 boats competed over the two days in some exciting, place changing racing.  The rescue boats were kept busy with swimmers and gear failure.  Aswell as the top boats, it was great to see the next generation of mirror sailors participate in their first Open.

Boats from Itchenor, Poole, Hill Head, Warsash, Northampton and Chipstead were very glad of the hot food and warming fire in the Club house after racing!
