This weekend was the Eric Twiname Championships, where all of the zones competed. Throughout the weekend it was very warm and sunny.
What a brilliant turnout for the final Beaver Winter Series this Saturday. 13 boats in total competed in a fantastic event sponsored by ASDA, Farmer Copley's and Boat Bits. With light winds and constantly changing wind direction the racing was rather difficult.
12 Mirrors took to the water on Sun 26 Feb, on the day that The Sun on Sunday was launched, and appropriately the sun was shining, although the wind was rather lacking!
The weather was perfect, bright, sunny and warm, with lots of wind: beaver at its best! Before the first race, it didn’t look all that windy but then when we all set off rather large gusts took us all by surprise as we suddenly started pulling on heaps and heaps of controls and hiking hard.
After a brief break over Christmas, it was 'all guns blazing' as Beaver Sailing club held its first event of 2012.
