Mirror Events in Ireland in 2015

David Dickson has sent us the dates of Mirror events in Ireland in 2015. Only the events below are fixed at this point in time. I've added them to our event calander.

• May 2/3                Lough Ree Yacht Club, Athlone               Eastern Championship
• June 27/28         Sligo Yacht Club, Sligo                               Western championship
• August 20/23     Royal cork Yacht Club, Cork                       National Championships

Membership for 2015 is now due

The UK Mirror Class Association (MCA) is largely funded by subscriptions from members and if you have not already paid, they are now due for 2015.

Membership is important:

• Membership means you are eligible to enter for the Nationals, the Nationwide and Travellers events organised by the MCA.
• In order to support your Mirror campaigns the MCA organise  NYDS and Open Training that as a member, you can apply for.
• Membership gives you an opportunity to help keep the Mirrors prominence, which you can put into action by voting on class matters at the AGM.
• An up to date membership means, you will receive a monthly electronic newsletter, keeping you at the forefront of what is happening in the Mirror Class.
• Membership pays for the costs of running this website and promoting the class by having a stand at the RYA Dinghy Show
• In the UK, the  Mirror Dinghy measurement certificates are only valid if the owner is a member of the MCA.

For the  2015 season you can pay your MCA membership online using a membership system from SailScore.

Northern Travellers 2015 - dates

These are the dates for the Mirror Northern Travellers Series 2015.

1. Sunday 5th April 2015 Ullswater Yacht Club.
2. Saturday  4th July 2015 Beaver Sailing Club.
3. Sat/Sun 18/19th July 2015 Dee Sailing Club (this is the NeilPryde Nationwide & Mirror Northerns as well).
4. Sat/Sun 1st/2nd August 2015 Bassenthwaite Sailing Club.
5. Saturday 19th September 2015 Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club.
6. Saturday 24th October 2015 Ripon Sailing Club.

RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show coming soon !

The RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show is a fun-packed event that offers all the materials to improve your sailing - it's now less than a month away, over the weekend 28th Febrauary & 1st March. The Mirror Class Association will have a new Winder Mirror dinghy on our stand D18, our normal position in the main hall.
