Looking forward to seeing lots of you at Dee this weekend. A great opportunity to sail in the Irish Sea waters in preparation for the nationals.

A very good 2 days of breezy sailing with some very high standard crews. Robert "Jimbob" Richardson & Sandy Simpson Jnr. won the NeilPryde Nationwide & Western Area Championships with three bullets on day 1 & one on day 2. 2015 Mirror World Champion Michaela Robinson, on a visit from South Africa, thought Cornwall "..a bit cold..", probably not helped when the fine boat she was crewing in, 70505 - "Scarlet Monkey", capsized shortly before the start of race 4. A total of 15 boats took part including some very young teams from Looe SC.

Anyone who is planning to come to Looe for the Nationwide Series please be aware that there are weekend lane closures on the Tamar Crossing from Devon into Cornwall. These closures are causing some heavy delays. If you plan to use the bridge on the Saturday please leave extra time for travel or consider travelling down the A30 towards Bodmin from Exeter & leaving the A30 around Launceston. Going this way will only add 15 mins on your normal journey but will avoid a lot of traffic on Saturday trying to get over the bridge. http://m.cornishguardian.co.uk/…/story-26772249-…/story.html

The Notice Of Race for the NeilPryde Nationwide and Western Area Championships hosted by Looe SC over the weekend 11th & 12th July has been published and can be downloaded via the link. The first start is at 1:00PM.
